Email
Use the Email workspace to configure the email server settings to enable you to send notifications by email in response to events in SmartSpace.
The Email workspace
Click on EMAIL to display the Email workspace.
Mail server settings are described below.
Mails should be sent using the following email server name/ IP address
The name or IP address of the email server.
using port number
The port number. Typically 25.
having the connection secured with
The security method applied to the connection, for example NO SECURITY (credentials are transmitted as clear-text).
Login to the email server as
Username for server login.
using the password
Password for server login.
Sender email address
The from: email address with which the notifications are sent.
In case of failure, retry sending the email after (seconds)
By default this is one minute (600 seconds).
And stop trying to resend after (retries)
The maximum number of attempts that should be made to send an email. By default 100.
SmartSpace web-site URL (e.g. http://localhost/SmartSpace)
The URL of your SmartSpace website.
Remove notification after email was successfully sent
If selected, the notification is removed from the website after the email has been successfully sent.
Configuring Email
- Open the Email workspace.
- Click Edit to configure Email settings for your SmartSpace installation.
- Click Save when you have finished entering the details.
