Overview of AngleID Installation

The diagram below illustrates the workflow for setting up AngleID.

The steps below outline the complete installation and configuration process.

1. Register your AngleID reader(s), and download and install the AngleID Config Tool and licenses.

   This is described in Before You Start.

2. Mount your AngleID readers, as described in Mounting Your Reader.

3. Connect your devices.

   How you connect your AngleID reader(s) to your network depend on your network configuration are not given in detail here. See your system administrator for further information. For details of essential checks when connecting your reader to a network, see Essential Checks Before Setup.

   An example of the simplest possible AngleID configuration is given in Example AngleID Reader Configuration.

4. Run the AngleID Config Tool.

   The AngleID Config Tool allows you assign IP addresses to your readers and boot them. For detailed instructions, Configuring your Reader.

5. Activate your tag, as described in Tags.

6. Configure detection zones.

   Configure one or more detection zones to determine if a tag is inside or outside the zone. Detection zones are configured by creating Recipes.
